Under the exhibition title 'Europe' we ask artists to make work that shows the diversity of the visual arts on this continent.

explanation of the artwork
The artwork is a reference to the Greek myth of Europe, the young Phoenician woman who was abducted on the back of Zeus as a white bull to the beaches of Crete.

Interesting that a female character has been made of the continent of Europe.

I have given the continent a face by choosing a portrait of a strong woman from every country in the EU. 
By fixing the eyes I let the viewer look into the soul of Europe, a continent with a very rich cultural heritage.
